'We are forced to work without PPEs amid COVID-19 situation, still We are not getting any Payments for 2 months' : GB hospital's intern Doctors said, went in Strike

AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): On a shocking note one intern doctor of GB Hospital has revealed the truth that being the frontline soldiers they are not getting any personal protective equipment (PPE) from the government. They are working in hospital, collecting samples only wearing masks as no special care has been provided to them amid Covid situation. On top of they are not getting any payment for last two months.
On Wednesday GB hospital's intern doctors staged protest in the hospital premises over payment deprivation.

One agitator while talking to media said,"We are not provided any PPE, not even the hand gloves. We are forced to work only wearing facemasks in this Covid situation. We are working for more than 90 days and we only got one month's salary that is 18 thousands rs till now, where as other states like Karnataka is providing 30 thousands to the intern doctors."
Another agitator alleged,"We are working day and night tirelessly in this crucial time of Covid-19 pandemic still we are not getting anything in return. There are more or less 75 intern doctors in here. If they can't even pay us then what should we expect from the government? This much should be done atleast."
The intern doctors said that they will not continue their work till they recieves the pending money. Though the incharge said that their payment will be paid soon but as no written was given to them from the authority, they will continue their agitation.
