AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): Tripura ASHA Workers Union has demanded COVID-19 free tests for all ASHA workers to ensure their health safety.

A protest with the demand written banner was staged in Agartala today by the Union.

Addressing media, leader Panchali Bhattacharjee said, “Today along with the whole nation, Tripura Asha Workers Union too is observing Dabi-Diwas. It is seen that along the all Front Line Warriors, ICDS workers are working against COVID-19. In Tripura also Asha Workers are working with high risks. They are already in problems like contractual jobs, irregular pays etc but now to check, whether they are infected or not, Govt must take accountability of their free COVID-19 tests”.
