AGARTALA, June 11 (TIWN): Increasing robbery, theft incidents have rattled public lives in Tripura, with increasing numbers of broad day light such unwanted incidents, showing thumb-finger to the law and order. In the State capital city Agartala everyday theft, broad day light robbery incidents have become common, raising questioning to the administrative measurement to curb thefts and robberies in city. In such an incident, locals of Coronel Chowmuhani have caught a thief red-handed from a house, kept him detained till police came. Later, the thief was handedover to police. Talking to media, the house owner said, “First of all, my one rent holder has left. I thought, someone is still doing packing and that’s why shoes are left. Then I sent my daughter in law to check at the upstairs".
"She went there and I started checking inside and suddenly I spotted him. When I asked, he said that he came to check aquarium but we don’t have any aquarium. Then I started shouting, joined by locals soon”.
Police have detained the man for further interrogations, whereas locals have suspected him as a professional thief, might have connections with a big gang.
Local people also said that there are huge numbers of theft incidents are going on and this boy was seen in the area, but today he was caught red-handed.
