AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Daring theft incident reported at Krishnanagar today. With the increasing numbers of theft incidents everyday across the capital, fearlessness of thieves are also increasing which creates question in the role of Tripura Police Department.
Reportedly, on Sunday a person named Kartik Paul parked his van near a house in Pratapray area of Krishnanagar for delivering medicines in that house. He left his car unlocked as his car was parked immediate place infront of the house's gate. When he returned to his car after almost half an hour, he find that his laptop with other important stuffs were been stolen from the car.
Fortunately, the CCTV camera of the house captured the whole incident. The thieve while passing by the car noticed that the car is unlocked and immediately stepped back, stolen the stuffs left in the car including laptop. The CCTV camera captured his face. He was coming from Krishnanagar club direction and after stealing he went towards judge quarter area.
The police who were patrolling there at that time couldn't report the incident. A complaint had been registered in west PS against the theft with CCTV footage.
Such daring incident under complete day light and in a dense locality made people doubt on their safety. The locals also made question on the role of police who were patrolling the area.
