AGARTALA, June 3 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress organised 'Garima' campaign which has been launched by All India Mahila Congress to provide menstrual dignity among marginalised women.
All India Mahila Congress President Sushmita Dev on Friday said this campaign will distribute 25 lakh personal hygiene kits in Shramik Special trains ferrying migrants labourers to their native states as well as railway stations across the country.
Each hygiene kit with a sanitary napkin and a soap in a disposable bag will be distributed by the women's wing of the opposition Congress under its 'Garima' campaign to empower women to manage menstruation safely, hygienically, with confidence and without shame.
On Tuesday, Tripura Pradesh Congress's women wing organised 'Garima' campaign infront of Congress bhawan and distributed the hygiene kit among 200 women. And they will further arrange the same campaign in different parts of the state in upcoming days.
