AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): The environment of Kanchanpur subdivision heated up again as hundreds of residents of Jampui Hill staged protest with placards, blocked road against rehabilitation of Mizo refugees in their area.
On Saturday when the SDM of Kanchanpur Chandini Chandran with SDPO Bikramjit Shukla Das and other officials visited Jampui Hill for selecting place for the rehabilitation, the locals of Jampui Hill blocked their road and staged protest with placards written, "The government should've atleast asked" , "Why do you auctioned our newly owned home" etc.
Later SDM Chandini Chandran talked with the agitators and controlled the situation.
