AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): The terminated 10323 teachers have called for a massive protest on June 1st at the Rabindra Bhawan premise in Agartala and in other subdivisions also as a part of statewide protest programme. Talking to media, former teacher Bimal Saha has said that with social distancing, a human chain will be formed in Agartala from Rabindra Bhawan area to City Centre in protest against the teachers terminations. “I call all the 10323 teachers to come and join the protest. That day, it will be our 2 month’s of termination. Let us united against all differences and only one identityâ€, said Bimal Saha. From morning 11 am to 1 pm, for 2 hours this programme will be continued on that day. “This will be a democratic and peaceful programme. We call all 10323 teachers to joinâ€, said the teachers, further requesting all sections of people to join the protest. Teachers are requested to bring sanitizer, umbrella, water bottles. This programme will be conducted statewide in all Districtsâ€, former teacher Bimal Saha said.
National Lockdown halted nation in economy and public movement, terminated 10323 teachers are stranded with their uncertain futures. The former teachers are using various techniques, methods with social distancing to reach out the Govt. Sometimes, they are protesting from home and sometimes, they are facing massive police action due to their raising voice about BJP’s pre-poll promise to save the teachers livelihoods.
