AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): Amid thousands of stranded people outside the state trying to come back, various Shramik trains are in operation to bring back the migrant workers to state in phrases. In such a move, a Train from Haryana to start with passengers of Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur, Assam on May 23. Among all the passengers, Tripura total 637 passengers are stranded to start on May 23. According to Law Minister Ratanlal Nath’s statement, it is said that the passengers will reach Haryana from Gurgao via bus and then to start by train. On the other side, from Kerala, on May 27, train with Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram passengers to start. Already, 1823 passengers form Telengana started heading to Tripura. In the same way from Haryana, Kerala also trains to start by few days. Among the other states’ arrived people, total 5 persons were tested COVID-19 positive in Tripura who came from Chennai to Tripura recently. State Govt is thus much focused to tests of the passengers to detect the COVID-spread.
Amid Government’s help to take back the migrant people, a video has went viral where migrant workers of Tripura seen in miserable conditions without any financial help, missed train and no support from the Tripura Govt further suffered from police’s lathi-charge. The people talked in the video alleged that they are left on road without getting any help from the Govts and it has been around 3 to 4 days that they are road but now have no money for food also.
