2 more BSF Jawans of 86th Bn tested Positive in Tripura : Total 87 patients cured, Active case's numbers stand 80

AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced 2 more COVID-19 Positive Cases in Tripura from the 86th Bn. "467 samples have been tested for #COVID19 and among them 2 persons found POSITIVE from 86th-Bn BSF, Ambassa. All the POSITIVE patients are under proper medical care. I pray for their speedy recovery We are committed to ensure your safety", said CM in a tweet. On the other side, one COVID-19 patient’s health condition was deteriorated and in need of ICU was shifted to GB hospital after he complained of chest paining. A Doctor has said that as in Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel, there is no support like ICU system, thus he was transferred. The transferred patient is a 42 years old BSF Jawan of the 86th Bn. Tripura’s total COVID-19 cases stands 80 which are active whereas 87 patients are cured. In GB hospital, which is the main quarantine centre, only 5 patients are remaining. More two patients were released from GB hospital treatment centre today. Both patients are in their critical ages, as one woman is of 64 years and another 84 years old. Doctor at the GB hospital further told media that right now total 5 patients are in GB treatment care, where serious patients are sent.

To ensure proper home quarantine, Tripura Govt to form Corona Monitoring Awareness Committee at the Panchayat level and CM will announce everything in details, said Law Minister Ratanlal Nath. This committee basically will help the administration to monitor the home quarantine people.

Today also around 3,000 people were brought from Chennai and Bengaluru and earlier also more 1500 people were brought from Bengaluru.

More trains are to arrive state and thus to keep the people in home in fully quarantine condition, these committees will be formed.

Law Minister Ratanlal Nath has also hinted that this committee may be comprised of opposition party’s members also.
