AGARTALA, May 17 (TIWN): Massive road-blockade, clash hit Agartala’s Nandan Nagar area today centering vegetable selling issue. The matter soon tuned communal after local two groups alleged deprivations to them by administration, however, police controlled the situation immediately and imposed lathi charge on law violators. The incident shaped more horrifying after locals from a group snatched an accused person from police’s jeep which led the indigenous group to block the road. However, talking to both groups of people, it has been understood that no group wants to do business alone but they want to do it together but due to some misunderstanding erupted today morning, the total incident happened. Then these two groups held protests and also were almost to meet in massive clashes but police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.

Recently administration had fixed market place's sitting spots which has erupted the whole issue today as a larger section wanted a hold a strike for one day opposing new market setting. But, the indigenous group wanted to continue market without strike. Thus, argument erupted between them. 

The first group which asked another’s group’s man not to open his vegetable shop was a request for 1-day as local businessmen were trying to hold a market strike opposing a new rule in market but the request turned a mode of verbal clash and resulted sensitive.

But when police arrested a person for interrogation of the whole matter, then the group’s people snatched him from police, which again worsen the situation and the indigenous people’s group blocked road over local’s hooliganism against police.

Later police controlled the whole issue and said that police will identify the criminals behind it.

This is not the single fight of today in Agartala but another clash reported at Camper Bazar, whereas police also had to rush to Battala today after Viswa Hindu Parishad created problems with migrant workers of West Bengal, calling them suspicious and Corona Spreaders.
