AGARTALA, May 17 (TIWN): Connecting a group of migrant workers in Corona-spreading network, Viswa Hindu Parishad in Agartala has harassed a group of stranded migrants from West Bengal’s Maldha District.
The Viswa Hindu Parishad amid Lockdown, was campaigning house to house (as per VHP’s self given statement) and they saw these migrant workers and asked for their identity.
Then police were called.
But talking to media, Police said, the migrant workers have all valid documents with them and this is not a case of Bangladeshi intrusion.
Later, police took them for further verification. The migrant workers want to go back to home state and that’s why they were going to meet the local minority leader in Battala in Agartala but Viswa Hindu parishad harassed them, causing mass gathering and tension.
In contrary police did not take any action against VHP workers for gathering amid lockdown, although earlier in case of Goyala Basti, 10323 teachers issue, police came in quick actions against lockdown violators.
