Abolishment of over 3,000 Teachers Posts in Tripura erupts resentment among Job Aspirants in Tripura : Unemployment Rate stands 41.2% in State

AGARTALA, May 17 (TIWN): In the middle of massive teachers’ crisis, at least 3103 posts of teachers were abolished in Tripura recently has erupted massive resentments statewide. These undergraduate posts were left vacant, have been abolished in an order passed from the Finance Dept, erupted statewide resentments, specially among the Job Aspirants. On the other side, TET qualified youths have left jobless, not getting appointments tolled up unemployment rate at 41.2% in April, 2020 according to CMIE report. News reports in state has disclosed a memorandum where Govt has abolished these undergraduate posts. The memorandum says, “The undersigned directed to the State that Education Dept has indicated that there are 3103 numbers of posts of undergraduate (UGT) for surrendering. Finance Dept has concurred the proposal of the Administrative Dept and to convey that the 3103 numbers of excess posts of undergraduate teachers (UGT) stand abolished with immediate effect”.

BJP Govt before establishing in power, held massive propaganda by the party that as soon as BJP will come to power by 1 year, 50,000 vacant posts will be filled up. But by not keeping that promise BJP Govt stopped recruitment in various sectors and rather put blames on the previous Govt for appointing too many people in Govt jobs, which is costing a lot of expenditure to the State Govt.

In this crisis situation, post abolishment has continued in state, upsetting job aspirants in various sectors.
