AGARTALA, May 16 (TIWN): In a major development against increasing theft and robbery cases in Agartala, East Agartala Police have busted a gang comprised of three youths. Total three persons were arrested in the drive, reportedly after day-night engagement of East Agartala Police and West Agartala Police in the mission. Huge numbers of laptops, mobiles and other expensive stolen items had been recovered from them. Police continues interrogation of them and after producing each of them before the court, remands for them to be sought. SDPO Anirban Das said, “In last few days, lots of theft and robbery cases were increasing in the capital city Agartala. In this regard, OC-East and OC-West Agartala Police Stations were working jointly to find out the thieves. Whole night raids, searches were done by the Police teams and succeeded to nab the professional looters. Total 3 professional thieves 1) Joydeep Ghosh, 2) Ratnadeep Biswas, 3) Gopal Das were arrested. We hope that more numbers of stolen items will be recovered and in more theft case’s connection also would be unearthed by interrogating them”.
