AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Tripura still remains in high red-zone mark for massive narcotic smuggling networks mushroomed across the state. In a major development, Airport Police on Thursday have busted a massive drug-network in Agartala, with 2 persons arrested from Narayanpur’s Kadamtala area. After smuggler Ramu Saha arrest case, this is the second lead of police in anti-narcotic drives in Agartala. 800 yaba tablets were recovered from the houses of Nirdosh Das and dry cannabis from Pinky Saha’s house. On being interacted by media on spot, accused Pinky Saha said that from Nirdosh Das her husband also might have recently learnt to consume drugs, but her husband has brought these items in home. She also alleged, there is a head behind it".
Talking to media, SDPO Piyamadhuri Majumdar said, “On being informed via secret sources, police have raided the houses and seized massive amounts of cash along with yaba tablets and other drug items".

"After interacting Nirdosh Das first we raided the house of Pinky Saha and also found narcotic items there", the SDPO added.
Additional SP Mihir Lal Das, Airport PS OC Shashimohan Debbarma led the raid in both places. From various parts of the house infact underground also, narcotic items were found. Empty bottles, phensedyl covers etc were too seized, which proved that this business is not new but was run from a long time”.
