AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): Few days after COVID19 tests for all journalist announced by Chief Minister Biplab Deb, in the press club, journalists samples were taken. Reportedly, in Nasal swab procedure specimen collection of State Journalists was held by Tripura Health Dept.
The results will be given 1 day after.
This would be a regular process as journalists , photojournalists have to travel various places everyday for news coverage.
As photojournalists and other media persons are moving across the State to cover COVID19 and other issues, thus, Govt of Tripura has announced to conduct tests for all the media persons to find out whether anyone of them is infected with the virus or not.
This decision was announced after various states’ journalists were found COVID19 positive.
Earlier, in an announcement, CM said, “Along with other frontline warriors, Media personnel are also moving from one place to another for news coverage. In view of their safety, we have decided to test the samples of all media personnel who are working on the ground”.
