AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): On being asked with uncomfortable questions, Tripura’s Law Minister Ratanlal Nath as usual turned rough at the journalists on Monday evening. This has been very followed method of the Minister to blast journalists from the very beginning as a trick to avoid uncomfortable questions. The Minister remained earlier also controversial for his remarks against 10323 teachers and others. Moreover, when asked about cases filed against Goyala Basti incident where locals came in massive protests, Nath imposed his statement to on journalists to believe the that he does not know about any case lodged against the protesters, whereas they were arrested by police after protest, although on yesterday 6 arrested persons (4 women) produced before the court and court sent 2 men to jail custody, releasing 4 women. Ratanlal Nath calling the agitators as ‘criminals’ asked journalists to be neutral and then he put everything on police about the case, saying, he does not know anything whether police filed any case or not. At the end, the questions were neither properly answered nor the Minister listened to journalists questions.
He continued to insult journalists taking a single point of fault in their question or gap, asking them, not to speculate or be specific. But fact is that, he himself has failed to expose Health Dept's PPE purchasing scam where he talked tall to expose it by 24 hours.
However, Ratanlal Nath has turned a Commentator of whole cabinet, from Health Dept to Food and Transport. So, there is no option left for the journalists except being ready to be blasted at any tough question.
