Earlier on May 1st, two patients were tested positive in Tripura's 138 unit of BSF at Ambassa and then quarantine and sample testing process started. During the process on the day before yesterday 12 persons and yesterday 13 and today 13 more persons were tested positive. Tripura had total 29 cases and 2 recovered long back. Now 40 active cases are in state and all are from BSF 138 Bn.
The first two patients who were in Dhalai District hospital from 26th April to 1st May were tested positive after bringing in GB hospital. One of them was attendant of the BSF officer, who was said as the main carrier of the virus, came to Tripura on 11th March from Assam, but the primary source of the virus goes clueless yet as he was in Tripura from March 11.
Tripura's first COVID19 patient was tested on April 6 and then April 10 with same travel history via Tripura Sundari Train.
Soon after both recovered, Tripura was announced COVID-Free but from May 1st to May 5th, the numbers of positive cases have hugely increased. Right now, total active cases are 40
