AGARTALA, May 4 (TIWN): As tension existing in state Tripura, with 12 fresh COVID19 cases were reported on Sunday night, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has called for public support and not to be panicked, assuring full medical assistance to all the patients. The Chief Minister also has urged people to stay in homes, as this is the biggest help the public can do to its State and its State Govt. Tripura till now, has reported total 16 cases, whereas 2 are already cured and 14 cases are still active and all of them belong to BSF 148 Bn of the Ambassa unit, where the first two cases was reported on May 1st after the BSF head constable was admitted in Dhalai District hospital and with health deteriorating, he was referred to GB hospital in Agartala with his attendant who was attending the head constable in Dhalai District hospital from 29th April to May 1st. The head constable was taken to Dhalai District hospital on April 26 after he visited Gandacherra and then back to Ambassa headquarter.
He felt stomach ache on 26th April, admitted in Dhalai District hospital and then referred in GB hospital on May 1st.
Both the head constable and attendant were tested positive in GB hospital led State Govt to take many people immediately in quarantine and their samples were tested.
Out of the quarantined people, 12 were tested positive on last night.
“Government has already arranged proper medical facilities at the Unit in Ambassa. Team of specialised doctors is taking proper care of the patients.I pray for their speedy recovery. Don't panic, follow the Government guidelines. Stay Home and be safe. We are working vigilantly for your safety”, CM said after the cases came out as positive.
Total 14 active cases are active in Tripura, whereas more 2 cases were cured earlier.
Out of the two recovered cases, one was from Damchara in North Tripura District (a TSR Jawan) and another was from Udaipur in Gomati Tripura District.
