AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): Tripura's opposition parties facing attacks from goons in various places while attempting to do relief distribution during COVID19 lockdown. Today Congress President Piyush Biswas and other Congress leaders blasted BJP Govt for failing to keep its word on allowing relief distributions by other political parties as BJP goons continue attacking Congress, CPI-M relief distributions. Oppositions allegations once again exposed BJP's failure to discipline criminal elements.With the second phase of 2.0 lockdown has ended in Tripura, 3rd phase of Lockdown to start in full wave. As Tripura’s maximum parts are under green zones, 2 under orange, works are going on in full wave with social distancing in state. Leaving no loopholes in lockdown, police have kept securities high throughout the state. MGNREGA, TUEP works are too taken place with social distancing, checked by local MLAs, leaders. Offices to start from tomorrow with all protocols of lockdown in this state.

State Govt has taken full preparations for lockdown observance with the continuation of ease in business in allowed sectors. 

Chief Minister Biplab Deb has continued his call to people for a joint effort to maintain the lockdown period, keeping social distances. However, with the fresh two cases developed, securities have been tightened up. Amid all these, allegations from poor section of the population continues to raise question on Govt's level of achievement to help the people financially. 

Although Tripura recorded with 4 cases but in comparison to the whole nation, this state is still in a much better status than rest of the many states of India. Tripura’s two fresh cases are from Ambassa, Dhalai District where two BSF personnel tested positive from BSF 148 Bn on yesterday’s sample testing.With 2644 new cases and 83 fatalities in the past 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country climbed to 39,980 on Sunday morning, the Union Health Ministry said.

Of the total cases, 28046 are active, 10632 people have recovered, and 1301 people have succumbed to the disease. At least 682 people have recovered from the highly contagious COVID-19 in 24 hours.  Maharashtra remained the worst-hit state with the total number of cases rising to 12296 with 521 deaths, though 2000 people have also recovered from the deadly virus.  Gujarat reported 5054 cases so far followed by Delhi with 4122 cases, according to the Health Ministry data. 

The other states which have seen sharp rise in cases are Madhya Pradesh (2846), Rajasthan (2770), Tamil Nadu (2757) and Uttar Pradesh (2487).  Maharashtra has the highest number of fatalities, among all the states, followed by Gujarat with 262 deaths, Madhya Pradesh 151, Rajasthan 65 and Delhi 64.  Among other major states, Andhra Pradesh has reported 1525 cases and 33 deaths so far, Bihar 481 cases and 4 deaths, Haryana 360 and four deaths, Jammu and Kashmir 666 cases and 8 deaths, Karnataka 601 and 25 deaths and Kerala 499 cases and 4 deaths.  States which have reported less than 10 cases are Tripura, Mizoram, Puducherry, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.
