AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Disclosing the history of the COVID19 new patients of Tripura, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath has stated that the high official of the BSF unit (main carrier of virus) was admitted in Dhalai District hospital from 26th April after he was undergoing stomach ache and was admitted till 1st May since his condition turned serious and tested positive. Within few hours of COVID19 patients were reported positive, Health Dept already identified 68 persons who came in contact with them.With two more fresh COVID19 cases in Tripura, tensions have been erupted across the State. The both fresh cases are of two BSF Jawans, appointed in the Ambassa unit in Tripura, which is in Dhalai District.

Addressing media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Total sample collected 5178, total sample tested 4955, total positive 5, recovery 2 cases and 1 transferred and 2 active".

"The two fresh Positive cases are from BSF. Both of them are of 138 Bn. The head constable of them came from Assam’s Shib Nagar on 11th March. From then till 22nd April he was in headquarter and on 22nd April he went to a BOP, Gandacherra and he was there till 25th April. He came to HQ on 25th and felt stomach pain, taken to Dhalai District hospital and from 26th April to 1st May he was in Dhalai Dist Hospital. On 1st May night he was referred in GB under observation at Flu clinic. They were tested positive on today afternoon, shifted to treatment centre”, Ratanlal Nath told media.

“The second patient was with the main patient from 29th April in the hospital and was infected during that period”, said Ratanlal Nath.
