AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Tripura’s highest crowdy zone, the capital city Agartala on Saturday remained crowd-free, discipline and organized. Police have continued checking of goers and asking their purposes but most of the people were with purposes and following Govt given regulations. Only the relaxation given areas are open for business and two wheeler to 4 wheeler all remained at minimum numbers in the city. Talking to media, SP West Manik Das said that most of the people are following guidelines and only purposeful public are seen on road. However, few violators are always there who don’t like to follow rules and police have taken actions against them accordingly. Security measures have been taken across the state and on national highways also continuous checking of vehicles are going on. No bar on hospital goers and also permitted sections’ businessmen and customers. But, on Saturday it was observed that in self-disciplined manner, public are following the Lockdown.

Union Govt announced lockdown 3.0 by extending May 3 deadline to another 2 weeks as nation reels under Lockdown 2.0. Lockdown 3.0, however, will not be as restrictive as its previous versions.The Lockdown 3.0, however, will not be as restrictive as its previous versions.

As per the MHA statement, the strictness of the extended lockdown will depend on the level of Covid-19 outbreak in the respective districts.The Green Zones are the districts with either zero confirmed cases till date; or, no confirmed case in the last 21 days. However, according to National Report Tripura’s two Districts Gomati and North are yet in Orange Zone. Ahead of the end of the extended lockdown, the Union Health Ministry has listed 130 districts in the country in red zone, 284 in orange zone and 319 in green zone on the basis of incidence of cases of COVID19, doubling rate, extent of testing and surveillance feedback.

This classification of districts is to be followed by states and UTs till a week post May 3, when the second phase of lockdown will end, for containment operations.

The list will be revised on a weekly basis or earlier and communicated to states for further follow-up action.
Metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad have been designated as red zones in the new classification.
