Tripura Govt begins preparedness as stranded people in other states gradually to Return State : Preparation for Quarantine Periods kicks off

AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Massive preparations have been started in Tripura and all safety measures are taken as stranded people in other states are to return under Govt’s initiative after Centre issued proper guidelines for that. Tripura Health Dept has conducted a meeting with all District Magistrates on preparedness of the home returners and where to keep them amid COVID 19 pandemic. The decision had taken placed after a Tamil Nadu driver was tested positive soon after he left state. Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said, the meeting discussed over how to deal with the returners, where to keep them in institutional quarantine period from Dharmanagar, Churaibari to other places. Tripura Govt also announced to bring back the stranded Tripura students from Kota. Also, gradually via inter-state-permit movements, other stranded people may be returning in short future. However, State Govt for now, has clarified the Kota students’ returning plan.

In a press conference, state’s Law Minister Ratanal Nath announced this on Thursday and already Govt is in communication with the Govt of Rajasthan. 

While briefing to media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Today, Govt of Tripura has sent letter to Kota District Magistrate. Tripura Principal Secretary N.H. Darlong has written to the District Magistrate there, subjected, ‘Movements of students of Tripura from Kota to Tripura' asking Rajasthan Govt to allow Tripura students to come back home”.

In the letter it is said, “I like to inform you that Govt of Tripura has decided today that students of Tripura stranded in Kota will bring to state. Govt of Rajasthan may allow Tripura students for their departure”. Ratanlal Nath said that on 2nd May, the students most likely to start for the state and guardians will be allowed with them. Kota is a city on the Chambal River in Rajasthan, northern India.
