AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 1 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Friday has appreciated the Farmers working on field with social distancing. Sharing farmers’ pictures, CM said, they are following perfect social distances. TIWN already covered various areas across outskirts of Agartala on Agricultural works with social distancing. Now, in all 8 Districts the same practice has been going on, whereas the local authorities are observing the situations ongoing and checking measures against COVID19, public awareness. This practice started since State Govt has called for developing primary sectors amid lockdown period by keeping social distancing and following all health guidelines. Keeping the harvesting season ongoing, Govt of Tripura has already geared up to save economy by saving agriculture and other primary sectors and by maintaining social distancing.
Tripura was announced as COVID Free on April 23rd and no new fresh case yet reported but after 5 persons returned in an ambulance and the driver left, the driver who is from Tamil Nadu was tested positive. However, State Govt had requested the Bazar committees to maintain the lockdown.
In such a situation, when state gained COVID-Free status, any new case to be very upsetting for the state. Police are deployed throughout state so that unnecessary goers to send back to homes.
