AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Tripura Govt is giving no chance for COVID-Return in this COVID-Free state and so launched various measures to check the pandemic status everyday in the state, ensuring social distances in markets and other gathering-prone areas. Today Agartala’s Market Committees, SDM, and Health employees jointly started massive drive in targeted markets for sample collection, screening, social distancing, cleanliness-maintenance etc. Addressing media at Gol Bazar, SDM Ashim Saha said, “Today main markets of Agartala has been targeted for formal screening and to check the status of the pandemic and to introduce new practices. Aim is to keep the market committees aware and take their help to keep cleanliness, maintain social distancing among the buyers, sellers and passers. Administration is helping the market committees at its best and public are also helping the administration a lot by cooperation”.

“All are aware about COVID19 and its dangers. Now the status of COVID-Free state which we gained, it has to be maintained. For sample collection vehicleS will be there and mask will be mandatory, then screening will be done”. Today targeted markets are GB Bazar, Gol Bazar, Battala Bazar, Lake Chowmuhani etc and with infrastructure expanding, the service will be increased.

“Hope people will help us as except social distance, cleaning hands there is no way to control the disease”, said the SDM.

Also, open urinal, spitting are under legal actions, SDM Ashim Saha told media.

Earlier, on 26th April, Chief Minister Biplab Deb had sought Bazar Committee’s help so that there is no need of much police force all the time asking the committees to take control.
