AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): BJP MLA Sushanta Chowdhury visited hailstorm affected areas under his 10-Majlishpur constituency on Monday.

Visiting areas as under Joynagar panchayat, the MLA has reported massive losses to farmers in that area.

Vegetable cultivators are highest sufferers and many farmers’ losses are beyond repair as their crops damaged to that level that they can not be taken to market.

The MLA also visited the paddy fields, talked to the affected farmers.

Many people’s houses were damaged in heavy storm. Sushanta Chowdhury has promised to help the farmers with financial supports by 7 days via bank accounts.

Temporary houses roofs were made to few affected families whereas more numbers of farmers were distributed with polyethene so that saved crops can be kept safe.
