AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): Lockdown Day 31 was observed in Tripura amid tight security arrangement and rapid actions have been taken against law violators on Friday. Although, Tripura has turned a COVID-Free state after State Govt's stong initiatives, but State Govt is not giving any scope for the epidemic’s re-glimpse in state. CM Biplab Deb, DGP Rajiv Singh directed SPs throughout Tripura to ensure social distances and people should not come out without reasons. West District SP Manik Das alongwith Police personnel were present on field. On being asked by media, SP West said, “Anyone who is violating Govt guidelines is being taken under action. Vehicles have to show proper papers or we will take action accordingly, if they can’t show papers. It has been seen that yet many are intended to violate lockdown and thus, actions are taken accordingly”. Not only vehicles, but illegally opened shops were shuttered down and those who came out of homes without reasons were sent back to home. The number of coronavirus cases in India have crossed the 23,000 mark.

Tripura has turned COVID free state as both positive patients were tested negative. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced the state as COVID free.

Tripura Law Minister Ratanlal Nath on Thursday has announced that state has sufficient numbers of medical kits and there are enough stocks already in hands. While briefing media on COVID19 status, the Minister said, “Tripura has 3 layers of masks at the numbers of 2 lakhs 92 thousands, N95 masks over 13 thousand, PPE-9271, hand gloves-9 lakhs 70 thousands.

Sanitizers also are at massive quantity with 100 ml, 4,400 bottles, 500 ml, 400 bottles etc with other equipment. Rapid Anti-Body tests for COVID19 has already started in Tripura from Thursday.For the purpose, 3,800 kits have come to the state and among them 3,700 kits were already distributed.

Total 150 collection centres are now opened in Tripura. 330 designated collectors from medical officers to lab technician have been deployed. Containment level testing with approximate numbers of 600 through rapid anti-body tests started in Udaipur, Damchara. More equipments are on process of arrival. Thus, for treatment, sufficient amounts of kits are in hands”.

Tripura was announced as COVID-free by Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday with the second patient was tested negative.

Total 2 persons were tested positive from April 6 and now both the persons are freed from COVID19 virus. State Govt appealed the people to keep social distancing and stay home.
