AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): Over 550 families have been affected by hailstorm badly led them to take shelter in the relief camps in various places in Tripura.
The numbers of the relief camp sheltered families as over 550 have been declared by Chief Minister Biplab Deb to media while he was visiting affected areas.
Deb said that the Sephajala District’s Takarjala, Golaghati block along with Kalyanpur under Khowai District are the highest affected areas.
CM said, the agriculture, rubber plantation were also affected heavily due to the storm.
Houses damaged due to heavy hail storms.
“The cyclone has totally damaged from small plants to big trees. Our teams are on field and officials are working with full dedication. Already, food arrangement has been done and social distancing is maintained due to COVID19 outbreak”, said CM.
