AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): Although, Tripura Govt has stated E-Classes for all school students of Tripura and received massive responses but problems are being faced by rural areas students due to either internet slow browsing or due to unavailability of all types of channel or load-shedding. However, these classes have been called as “Extra Classes”, whereas Education Dept is all set to start new session after lockdown by cancelling the summer vacation as due to COVID19, massive damage to the Education system occurred. After school opening, also from beginning everything will be taught and also evaluation of students ordered.

As announced, the State Education Dept has launched E-Class system successfully in Tripura from Monday. Various classes' students were seen taking notes from TV channels sitting at home from house to house, where the experienced teachers are seen teaching them on TV. It was also shown in social media by the pages of those channels.

The classes started for new academic session, as due to lockdown, State Govt announced promotion of students from Class-1 to 9 and Class-11 in the next classes. As, lockdown extended till 3rd May, classes via TV channels or online has been started for Tripura school students.

 On the background of the Educational project, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath had confirmed media that various TV channels which are in existence including Headlines Tripura, Mrinalini, Sristi, Dristi, New Icon, Awaz etc will operate the launching of free classes from tomorrow that is on 19th April.

The schedules to be followed by proper routine method. Channels also denied to take any amount from Govt, although Govt is planning to benefit the channels at minimum for the coverage in this crisis situation.

While launching the project, the Education Minister said, “As students are unable to go to schools, due to lockdown, thus, via TV channels we have decided to start online teaching. Many teachers are interested to teach students via live-telecast, the Minister informed media”. He further announced, summer vacation has been cancelled and when schools to be opened social distances to be maintained and numbers of sections class-wise to be extended. Tripura schools are shutdown from 17th March, 2020.

As schools are already in vacation since March 17, thus, Govt of Tripura has announced about cancellation of summer vacation for 2020.

Copy checking of completed Board Examinations also to be started.
