AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 18 (TIWN): COVID19 Front Line Warriors Tripura Police on Saturday engaged in massive awareness drive for people on COVID19 outbreak aimed to keep everyone in homes. Various banners were displayed including “We are here (on road) to keep you safe”. From Day 1 of the lockdown, police started strict checking, arranged access control gates in markets, via actions or gestures tried to keep people aware about Lockdown protocols. Sometimes, police were also criticized but time to time, police were also seen with unpropagated dedications like carrying food items to deep rural areas over head crossing streams and hills on feet. In today’s date total deaths have been recorded at 488 and total cases are 12289 in India. Tripura received no new case after 2 were tested positive and now fit. Along with the whole nation, Lockdown 2.0 has been started here in Tripura too, fell on Day 4 today. Tight security arrangements were witnessed statewide and police are in effort to keep people to ‘stay home’.

Total 2 persons earlier tested positive in Tripura, having a same travel history via train but so far no new case reported and both patients are stable. Health Dept already conducted massive testing which is still underway.

Today Law Minister Ratanlal Nath visited TMC, ILS hospitals where OPDs were made free under Govt’s instruction.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Saturday while visiting industrial sectors at the outskirts of Agartala and Madhav Bari Brock factories in Jirania, has requested the border area’s people to keep tight eyes on border areas so that no illegal intrusion can happen from that side of border amid COVID19 pandemic.

Biplab Deb also ensured that there is no COVID19 fresh case in Tripura and after releasing the first patient from hospital, now the TSR jawan who was tested positive in COVID19 is also stable.

CM urged people to jointly fight against CIVID19 as much as they can.

Except, necessary-reason goers, police did not allow anyone to pass the roads and in markets also with Access Control, the gathering-free trend was maintained.

At the same time, in a notification, Govt of India under Ministry of Home Affairs have mandated Face-Cover, prohibiting Spitting in Public Places in 2.0 Lockdown. The notification under COVID19 Management totally banned “liquor”, “gutka”, “tobacco”. Functions as Marriages, Funerals shall be regulated by District Magistrate. No organization, manager of public places should be allowing gathering of more than 5 persons. In Work-places, Manufacturing units also, the guidelines have been provided. After PM Modi announced to extend lockdown till 3rd May, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb once again repeated his stand on roster system base Govt offices’ function amid Lockdown.Addressing to the state, CM said that to ensure the Centre and State Govt level scheme benefits to reach out to the common men, from Panchayat Pradhan to Chief Minister all will be working and in Govt offices roster system will start functioning at full swing so that the economy does not gets down and people’s livelihood can be saved.
