Agartala, Nov 15 (TIWN): The residents of PWD quarter at Capital Complex, outskirt of the capital city- Agartala have been suffering from several problems for long period due to the negligence of state government and concerned authority. As a result, suppressed anger is prevailed among the residents. The state government is maintaining silence over the issues.

According to a dweller of PWD quarter, more than 600 people of 150 families are staying in the different blocks of the quarter. Iron mixed drinking water is marked as the major problem in the quarter.

A section of residents alleged that almost all the quarter buildings were constructed 10-12 years back. Since then, all the buildings remained unrepaired. As a result, paintings of the walls got damaged and they have also found few cracks on the walls.

Most of the pipelines and drains are blocked. Almost all the walls are covered with weeds and spider nets. Hence, the residents are living in an undesirable and intolerable condition at PWD quarter of Capital Complex.

Few inhabitants alleged that the water closets are lying unclean for long period. As a result malodor is spreading among the residents.
