AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 16 (TIWN): As most of the poor people are unaware about 3 months free cooking gas package announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman, Tripura Govt has decided to open Temporary booking counters via Gas Agencies, which to be opened in Tripura villages because the rural people are not aware about 3 months Free LPG booking. After cabinet meeting, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced this. He also has warned LPG gas agencies for alleged attempt of fooling people, giving strict warning of taking action against them. The Minister further ensured that there are many more projects which are underway and all depts are working very hard to reach out each beneficiary. He told media that state has enough capacity of essential commodities and thus, nothing to be panicked.
Talking about CIVID19 status, Dr. Dip Debbarma said that 2000 people are being tested right now and various modern equipment are waiting to come from Centre, but before Centre sends those equipment, Health Dept is fully utilizing the existing testing facilities. Ratanlal Nath further praised all depts and also state police for their dedicated jobs.
Tripura had two COVID19 patients and one of them is already cured but right now she is in Institutional Quarantine. The second patient is also almost cured, informed Health Dept.
On March 26, 2020, in a bid to ease the burden on poor amid a nation-wide lock down Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today announced a Rs 1.70 lakh crore relief package under PM Garib Kalyan Yojana.
“Under PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, gas cylinders, free of cost, would be provided to 8 crore poor families for the next three months,” the finance ministry said in a statement.
So, to ensure the facility to each beneficiary, Govt will take action by massive campaigning via Gas agencies. Also awareness will be done by miking and other means.
