Chief Minister congratulates recovered COVID19 first patient

AGARTALA, April 15 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has congratulated the COVID19 first patient after she was discharged from hospital and sent back to her home.

In a social media update, CM Biplab Deb said, “Glad to share that first #COVID19 positive patient of Tripura has been discharged today, as she has recovered & found negative in consecutive tests. She has been sent for institutional quarantine for 14 days under medical supervision at Udaipur. I Pray to Mata Tripurasundari so that State turns Corona free soon”.

CM Biplab Deb has announced these points over COVID19 today evening

  1. Two persons have been tested COVID-19 positive till date—the first patient (woman) has already been cured and discharged from the hospital today. She will be in institutional quarantine for next 14 days at Gomati district under observation of a Medical Team.
  2. The health condition of the second patient (TSR jawan) is also stable. As per medical reports, viral load in his sample has reduced significantly. He is under proper care. If everything goes well, he will also be discharged within next few days.
  3. Total 16 high-risk close contacts of the second patient have been tested negative.
  4. Eight citizens of Tripura have been tested COVID19 positive in other states. Among them, two positive patients, who are in Rajasthan, have recovered and now under observation. The health condition of the six others is also stable.
  5. COVID-19 Testing Capacity in the designated lab in Tripura has been scaled up and it will increase further in next one week.
  6. Total 600 persons are under now surveillance across Tripura-- 145 people in Institutional Quarantine and 455 persons in Home Quarantine. Total 738 samples have been tested including the two positive cases till today. As many as 10,155 persons have completed the observation period of 14 days so far.

Total 2 persons were tested positive in COVID19, whereas the other person always was asymptomatic and stable. Both the patients shared same travel history via Tripura Sundari train landed on 19th March. She travelled to Guwahati and returned state via Tripura Sundari train. Udaipur woman tested positive first on April 6 and was admitted in GB hospital and with same travel history all were put in quarantine.

She will be now in institutional quarantine for timebeing. 

The second patient of COVID19 is also in recovery stage.
