AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): Tripura government has announced to provide one-time financial assistance of Rs 1000 to 8666 registered street vendors of the state in view of the lockdown.
Chief Minister Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma on April 8 night reviewed the overall situation of COVID-19 in the state. Deb informed that none of the 17 close contacts of first COVID-19 patient of Tripura were found positive and the woman was recovering gradually. “There is no reason to be panic. Only follow the guidelines issued for personal and family hygiene and stay at home and maintain social distancing. Our warriors are fighting dedicatedly to keep us all safe,” he said. Deb apprised that there is no dearth of PPE and other necessary equipment and every following day medicines and medical equipment are coming by cargo flights from other states. The government is following the quarantine norms very strictly to fight against the spread of coronavirus further, he added.
