Agartala, Nov 14 (TIWN): Tripura Government Homeopathic Doctors’ Association (TGHDA) Friday conducted annual state convention at Agartala Press Club. The programme was presided over by the inaugurator and MP- Sankar Prasad Datta.
General Secretary of the association- Sukhamoy Paul in his editorial report informed about the success, failures of the association for providing the health services in the state in past one year. He further said, many vital changes have been made in the international, national and state level from the last convention till date.
Amid various central funds deprivations, lack of infrastructure, decrease in allocate funds of Centre, the left front rule state government is running the state with a alternative thought in progressive way, he said. Despite many barriers from Centre, the state government introduced 23 allowance schemes for the interest of state people.
According to the report, to develop overall medical services in the state, the state government set target to establish at least one sub health centre in every Gram Panchayat and village committee areas.
Altogether, 12 doctors were recruited under the Rastriya Bal Swastha Mission in the FY 2013-14. In total Rs. 4.5 crore has been allocated to set up National Ayush Mission (NAM) in last year, he added.
The report of association also indicates that, Tripura Homeopathic Service Role is likely to be implemented and a total of 40 vacancies for Medical Officer (H) are likely to be fulfilled within next one year.
The state Mission Director of National Health Mission (NHM)- Sandeep N. Mahatme graced the dais as chief guest while many other dignitaries including members of the association attended the state convention organized by TGHDA.
