It led national media to slam the Chief Minister of Tripura asking him to to verify facts before ‘Faux-Pass’. 

On 4th April, Congress former MLA Gopal Roy filed an FIR against the CM for his fake propagation but instead of doing apology, he sent massive force in Gopal Roy’s home, locked his house from inside. At the same time 5 media houses names were registered in that FIR. TIWN Editor has condemned this act of police.

Earlier also, TIWN website was illegally blocked, Editor’s parents, journalists were harassed by Police and issued Look Out Circular without Court’s permission.

In a surprising move to choke media voices, at least 5 media houses names were added to an FIR just because the media published an opposition leader’s statement.

Congress State President Pijush Biswas has slammed the unknown authority behind yesterday’s madness across Congress Ex-MLA Gopal Roy’s home, saying, the person who has done this is totally insane.

Biswas said, locking a leader like this inside a house is fully illegal, as an advocate he said so.

Gopal Roy was tortured mentally by police after a counter FIR was filed against Gopal Roy as he filed an FIR against CM Biplab Deb, as the later one has spread Fake news on COVID-19 pandemic.  

The 5 media had published news on Congress leader Gopal Roy after he filed FIR against Chief Minister Biplab Deb for spreading FAKE news about Corona-virus outbreak. Whereas only 2 persons were infected by Corona-virus in Manipur, CM said that total 16 persons were infected which created massive panic in the Northeast.

But after that news publication, a person has filed a counter FIR against Gopal Roy on FALSE pretext and police entered Roy’s home with huge force.

Congress leader Gopal Roy was also locked by Police in his own house without any Court permission after he filed FIR against CM Biplab Deb over COVID-19 fake news delivered by CM himself.
