AGARTALA, November 13 (TIWN): To mark the occasion of 23rd death anniversary of Shyamhari Sharma, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state committee on Thursday staged a street corner meeting here at Lalbahadur Chowmuhni. BJP state President Sudhindra Das Gupta along with other BJP workers remained present in the meeting.

However, it is to be mentioned here that during the year 1991, Nov. 13 Senior BJP leader Lt. Shyamhari Sharma was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen. Shyamhari Sharma was shot when he was addressing a BJP bi-election rally at Lalbahadur Chowmuhni here at Agartala on Nov 13, 1991. and later after though the CBI probe was ordered but failed to detain the miscreants.

The BJP state committee to stage another condolence meet at Sukantala Road today at 6:00 pm to mark the 23^rd death anniversary of Shyamhari Sharma.
