Agartala, Nov 13 (TIWN): Political parties in Tripura, Congress, CPI-M, Trinamool Congress, BJP, INPT, IPFT and other parties gearing up for the forthcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) election. Almost all the parties have started campaigning in favour of their candidates. Ahead of ADC election, all the parties are continuing membership collection drive in full swing.
It’s a matter of concern that ahead of TTAADC election, members of few banned militant groups are moving in the hilly remote areas of the state to collect ransom. As a result, multiple people were abducted in past few days from different parts of Tripura. Following the militancy activities, panic is prevailed among the people.
Besides, the police administration is also preparing a massive security arrangement to conduct the TTAADC polls in a peaceful atmosphere, said a source.
On the other hand, with an endevour to hit the best in upcoming TTAADC election, Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday conducted a street corner at Silacherri under Sabroom subdivision, said BJP state president- Sudhindra Dasgupta said Thursday. During the street corner, altogether 4770 persons of 1500 families from different political parties have joined BJP, he said. Later, Dasgupta welcomed them by placing party flag on their hands.
“No doubt, joining of 4770 persons in BJP injected fresh oxygen to the BJP state leaders, supporters and workers”, said Dasgupta.
According to the sources, almost all the different party leaders, workers and supporters are working hard to secure as much as votes possible in favour of the candidates.
