AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): With the continuous mass-gathering across the state amid lockdown protocols, journalists in Agartala have appealed the masses to stay at home as much as they can, saying, even they are also trying to stay at home as much as they can.
Talking to a journalist who was on duty during Agartala lockdown coverage, said, “Lockdown imposed same law for all except few professions and as this is our work, we have to come out of home, but we are also trying to complete our works as the earliest and the rest of the day we are staying in home. We are doing works outside but with total precaution. After doing minimum works, we are going back home immediately. If the disease touches, then nothing can be done and thus we request all to stay in home and to take precautions, so that the disease does not happen”.
Another photo-journalist said, “All of us have families and thus it is your and my both section’s responsibility to take care of ourselves and be healthy and also to keep our family disease-free. We (Journalists) are working hard to keep you updated by risking of our lives. Thus, we request all not to spread unnecessary rumours in social media and to keep yourself as much as clean and healthy...........as we are here to keep you updated”.
“Our duty is to give updates to the people and thus let us do our works but the chain of deadly virus has to be destroyed. Because it is deadly disease and no medicine yet could be invented which can cure the patient with guarantee. But as we do not have any other option, so we have to go out. But when we are giving you updates, so please stay in home and this is the only option remained to us to control the disease and to break the virus's chains”, said a journalist in an appeal to people.
