AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): Social media users, even opposition leaders, supporters have nodded to go in solation with family under Govt of India’s call, whereas Congress State leader Gopal Roy said, “Prevention is better than cure”. Netizens have geared up to go in isolation and also Tripura’s most critical issue bearing 10323 teachers have cancelled their protest today and tomorrow to stay in solation to mark “Janata Curfew”. However, for media, Home Dept and emergency services, ofcourse Health Services no restriction will be imposed. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has stated that tomorrow isolation will prove, how much Tripura is prepared for to fight corona-virus. On being asked by media about people are in cow-worshipping, Deb said, he can not comment on public trust but right now most important is to keep ownself away from gathering and staying in isolated as much as can be. CM has warned the ill minded businessmen not to keep extra money from any customer in the name of insufficient items’ stocks.

He said, strict action should be taken against such ill minded businessmen.

On the other side, Tripura senior Congress leader Gopal Roy has demanded free door to door services of Ration commodities for the poor and middle class people during curfew and lockdowns.Addressing media, Roy said, “It is true that PM Modi has announced a Janata Curfew and we all will observe that but we can not forget that there are many people who can not have two times meals if curfew is imposed and specially if it is extended. That is why, Govt must give free ration door services to the poor. Prevention is better than cure. So we have to maintain this, but the people who are poor, daily labours, rickshaw drivers who lives on their daily incomes, they should be given enough space to live”.

Today, PM Modi announced a Covid-19 taskforce that would draw up measures to combat the economic effects of the pandemic, told employers not to cut the pay of staff and called for a “Janata Curfew” on Sunday. He warned of the outbreak’s “wideranging” economic impact, underscoring the need to be prepared.
“There is a need to follow two important things to fight this pandemic — resolve and restraint,” he said in a televised address on Thursday. He appealed to businesses to act with empathy, while assuring people that there are no shortages and telling them to avoid panic buying. Senior citizens should stay indoors and others should not leave home unless essential. The country needed to be vigilant and it would be wrong to assume that the coronavirus won’t have a greater impact than it already has.
“In the past few days, it is appearing as if we have averted the crisis, and everything is okay. Complacency in respect of a global pandemic like coronavirus is not appropriate,” the PM said. He pointed out that social distancing was “very important and effective as well”.
