AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): BJP’s media allergy (except Godi media) has been reflected on Law Minister Ratanlal Nath’s face when being questioned by journalists what will happen if Supreme Court rejects the plea of Govt to appoint 10323 teachers in other dept’s vacant posts. Nath reacted immediately with a red face to the journalists, slammed his critical question calling his mindset is complex. The interaction happened when Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Thursday announced to appeal in Supreme Court for 10323 teachers recruitment in non-teaching posts.Nath said, this was the only option left to the Cabinet which decided this for solving the problem of 10323 teachers and Govt is also thinking other ways but nothing will be disclosed now. When media asked, what will happen if Supreme Court denies to fillup vacant posts, Ratanlal Nath suggested journalists not to make things critical. He asked, why media can’t praise Govt for taking such a bold decision ?
He blamed 25 years CPI-M ruling which made people's minds critical in Tripura. Addressing media Ratanlal Nath said, "The present Govt of Tripura is very much concerned about 10323 teachers. Although their recruitment were under big question mark, but the Govt of Tripura never can deny their dedication and contribution to the Education Sector. A large number of teachers' families with around 50,000 people will be affected if terminated from 1/4/2019".
"Many of the teachers have qualification for other vacant posts. Appointing the teachers in various depts as per eligibility is the only option to deal with the present situation except appointing in technical Group-C and Group-D posts like Anganwadi Supervisor, Lower Div Clerck, Panchayat Secretary, Agri-Assistant, Store Keeper, Fishery Assistants, there are 10,661 posts vacant. IL petition to be filled in Supreme Court to permit Tripura Govt to appoint the teachers whose terminations will be on 31st March", Ratanlal Nath told media.
