AGARTALA, March 14 (TIWN): BJP MLA body led by Sudip Barman, Asish Saha have condemned the Mohanpur 22 years girl’s horrifying murder incident, alleged a ‘Pre-Planned’ gang rape before burning her to murder on 13th March. MLA Sudip Barman said that earlier, Tripura was so proud that brutal gang-rape, murder incidents do not occur in this state but such a horrifying episode took place in Tripura also breaking all records. He said, the whole incident is “pre-planned” and “not possible by a single person” and when whole Mohanpur had electricity connection, only that particular village was cut from power connection. He called police to take action beyond political colours. Sudip Barman further stated that the agitations are not according to the crime level of the incidents which shows people are today unable to speak, they are sad, they are shocked with the deteriorating law and order situations of the state. He also asked opposition parties to cut the barriers of politicizing rape and to hold a strong protest to stop such incidents.

The press meet was called in the MLA hostel after the MLAs met the victim family.

Sudip Barman said that the representatives also talked to the SP and requested to act beyond political pressures.

“The murdered girl is of my daughter’s age. Nobody can accept such incidents. I have no word to speak. We actually don’t know what to say on such unbelievable, shocking incident”, said Sudip Barman.

Addressing media, MLA Asish Saha has called all the common men to join in a same protest beyond political barriers. He called people specially engaged in social works should join hands.

“The message which was given from the Apolitical rally on 3rd January by Sudip Barman, today this message is same. Let us join beyond political colours”, said Asish Saha.

CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar has slammed the BJP Govt over deteriorating law and order situations in the state, saying, 22 years old girl’s murder incident has crossed Hyderabad’s Priyanka Reddy’s murder episode.

Tripura Congress has directly accused Law Minister Ratanlal Nath for his attempt to suppress the case in 22 years old girl murder allegedly after rape / gang-rape. Congress leader Subal Bhowmik today has alleged when the Congress leaders, members visited the victim’s house, a group of BJP miscreants attacked the Congress members with sharp weapons and took the victim’s mother by stretching her hair.
