AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): In bench of Justice Arindam Lodh, Tripura’s former Chief Secretary Y.P.Singh’s bail petition’s verdict was postponed for more 7 days.
Reportedly, police could not finish yet the investigation and thus a final time was given.
Govt advocate said that 2 more officers will be interrogated in this purpose by this time. After 7 days, High Court will pronounce the final verdict about his bail.
Y.P.Singh was arrested from UP in an alleged politically motivated case. Two more persons : 1) Former Minister Badal Chowdhury, 2) Former Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik were also arrested and now in bail.
The case is all about 2008’s construction work, although no personal cash-exchange could be proven by police.Infact no chargesheet could be submitted which led Badal Chowdhury’s bail after 87 days of Police, Jail Custody.
