AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Senior Congress leader Gopal Roy has lashed out the BJP led State Govt for its Chief Minister, Ministers luxurious lifestyle and heavy securities, wastage of public fund, when people are unable to manage two times meals for their family. Addressing media, Gopal Roy said, “When nationally banks are paralyzed, corporate level thieves are escaping the country here CM is using 20 cars along with 16 vehicles of security. Ministers are using Rs. 70 to Rs. 90 lakhs of vehicles. We are so proud of such developments. CM’s quarter is now 9 star. These are two years developmentâ€. Roy further criticized the BJP Govt for calling outside businessmen to open liquor shops in Tripura who do not have PRTC of here.
“On the one side, BJP is preaching Nesha-Mukt-Tripura vision and on the other side, liquor shops licenses are being given. Is this the way to succeed Nesha-Mukt Tripura ?”, asked Gopal Roy.
“BJP Govt doesn’t have vision and can’t see the far future. If 56 days MGNREGA is a matter of pride, where is rest 44 days ? Then why only 179 rupees of wage after showing lollypop of 340 rupees of wage before election ?”, Gopal Roy said in an interview.
“MGNREGA is to develop rural economy which was vision of Mahatma Gandhi. 100 days works, Food Security Act are credit of the previous UPA Gvt. But now MGNREGA funds have been reduced at centre”, added Roy.
“In Health Service also budgets are reduced. When Education sector is claimed as developing, but no development is seen practically. Think about the situation of Book Sellers”, said Gopal Roy.
Hitting the BJP for law and order situation, Gopal Roy said that everyday there are unnatural death related news.
“People are unable to speak out. Unemployed roaming on road, employees are not getting DA, businessmen are at loss, corruption hit the state. So, these two years were chapters of shame”, said Gopal Roy.
