AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 12 (TIWN): In a height of criminal conspiracy to shut down voice of Tripura’s only independent news portal tripurainfoway.com, under the instruction of Chief Minister Biplab Deb, his corrupt OSD Dilip Roy alongwith SP West Manik Das hatched criminal conspiracy to murder TIWN Editor in custody. SP West by using false cases, blatantly misused power by issuing LOC (Look Out Circular) to detain/arrest TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar (an USA based NRI) whenever he lands in Airports in India. On 27 January, 2020, SP West Manik Das via email to Bureau of Immigration requested to detain TIWN Editor as per the earlier letter no.18273/SP/CS/WD/19 even though the reason of LOC is filled with false charges, politically motivated actions to muzzle the voice of tripurainfoway.com. Not only that SP West Manik Das circulated this LOC letter from his personal email manikdas165@gmail.com to various BJP leaders and his friendly news medias. TIWN obtained all documentary evidences to proceed legally against these corrupt officials.

TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar needs no introduction as whole Tripura knows Editor as fearless voice against criminals, an Electronics Communication Engineer by profession, served as Vice President at Bank of America’s Global Network Services, one of the Tripura’s most prominent NRI based in New York since 22 years, a philanthropic associated with Tripura’s many orphanages to old age homes, even helped Tripura Police in 2013,2014 in Cyber Crime initiatives.

In spite of his career commitments in USA, Saumen Sarker opened this non-profit media portal tripurainfoway.com to fight against corruption in Government, against criminals in power in Tripura.

After assuming power in March’2018, Chief Minister Biplab Deb found that, rest of opposition medias either can be shut down via threat or purchased so that no media can publish corruptions, criminal acts by BJP’s criminals Pratima Bhowmik, Ram Prasad Pal, Krishnadhan Das to many others. So Biplab Deb hired CPI-M era’s most corrupt police officer Dilip Roy to function as his OSD ( officer on special duty) to file false cases against opposition medias, muzzle their voices.

Criminals in Tripura BJP attained such power that even a career criminal Pratima Bhowmik (now MP) threatened to murder Addl SP Kiran Kumar on April 12.2019 but Chief Minister Biplab Deb remained his eyes closed, even no FIR was allowed to file.

Coincidently, Biplab Deb’s OSD Dilip Roy and SP West Manik Das are both related, also common relative of CPI-M State Secretary Goutam Das.

In 2019 Oct/Nov, after Badal Chowdhury’s arrest episode, Biplab Deb lost faith in previous SP Ajit Pratap Singh, so CM suspended Ajit Pratap Singh without any notice. After that Biplab Deb in a drinks party in Dhaleswar’s (Kargill Chowmuhani) home of OSD Dilip Roy, as per the advise of Biplab Deb’s another advisor Manas Pal, selected Manik Das for SP West Post.

After assuming charge of SP West post, rather than curbing daily crimes in Agartala & surrounding areas, Manik Das alongwith Dilip Roy started their collections from Mafias, then hatching criminal conspiracies to shut down tripurainfoway.com. So, Manik Das under instructions from Dilip Roy, started ‘Look Out Circular’ criminal conspiracy to detain TIWN Saumen Sarkar in Airports, with the plan to murder in Police lock-up/ under custody.

Biplab Deb led BJP Govt since 2018 not only harassed TIWN Editor’s senior citizen parents ( which was stopped after a order from Hon. High Court), but tried in various ways, mafia threats to shut down the voice of tripurainfoway.com.

Even, in a rare show of cowardice, BJP Govt blocked tripurainfoway.com which was unblocked after TIWN’s legal victory in Court.

In a landmark judgement, West Tripura Sessions Court on July 26,2019 ordered ( Case No Criminal Revision 13,2019) unblocking of tripurainfoway.com, also revoked earlier order of Lower Court for blocking tripurainfoway.com. As per Legal experts, Lower Court’s April 27,2019 order is found to be legally full of errors and illegal as per IT Act 2000, 69A. Since 2018, Tripura BJP Govt started filing various FAKE cases against TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar for exposing criminals from Pratima Bhowmik to Ram Prasad Pal, Krishnadhan Das but TIWN Editor scored 4th major legal victory in 2019 against illegal actions by Tripura Police and crooked elements in Government with the sole political aim to shutdown opposition media voices. On behalf of TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar, Advocates Mr Arindam Bhattacharjee, Advocate Biplab Mandal contested against State Govt legal team led by Special PP Ratan Datta in West Tripura Sessions Court.

Addl Sessions Judge Mr Ravi Dahiya wrote in order that Lower Court Justice passed earlier order in mechanical manner.

Lower Court, Judicial Magistrate Court 5 Justice Ms Mitra Das’s earlier 27^th April,2019 order of blocking tripurainfoway.com stands cancelled as higher court Addl Session Court Judge Mr Ravi Dahiya ordered unblocking of tripurainfoway.com on 26^th July,2019

Lower Court’s case was filed by Crime Queen Pratima Bhowmik’s right hand Smuggler Sunit Sarkar alongwith corrupt police officials led by former OC West PS Subrata Chakraborty with various fabricated baseless charges.
