No lack of ethos in Holi-2020 : Amid Coronavirus threats Colourful Holi marks annual festival in Tripura

AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 10 (TIWN): Continuous alerts from TV to mobile phones have failed to minimize the celebration mode of people in Tripura on Holi 2020.

Amid all such threats on health, youths were seen like every year celebrating with friends. Across the state, celebrations have marked the Holi, better known as "Rong Khela" in Tripura. 

At Nazrul Kala Kshetra, National School-of-Drama students have celebrated the occasion with full enthusiasm. Students,  BSF, families, relatives all have enjoyed the day fully amid the election season.

People smear faces of each other with gulals, different colours, rejoice with sweets, food and drink on this occasion, which reflects the feeling of unity, togetherness and joy. Holi which starts on Phalgun Poornima day, marking the beginning of the spring season. The idols of Lord Krishna and goddess Radha in decorated (small wooden temple) are carried on shoulders from house to house to the chants of devotional hymns.

Holi is one of the major festival of India and is the most vibrant of all. The joys of Holi know no bound. The festival is celebrated across the four corners of India or rather across the globe. The festival is filled with so much fun and frolic that the very mention of the word 'Holi' draws smile and enthusiasm amongst the people. Holi also celebrates the arrival of spring, a season of joy and hope.
