AGARTALA, March 8 (TIWN): The recently scrapped Free Medical Services have been one of the cruelest decision made by BJP led State Govt for which the Govt is paying off by losing supports but no change in the process came and the Govt is unready to revise the decision. Inhuman scrapping of Free Medical Services failed to upgrade Tripura’s health services rather, GB like hospitals’ dialysis machines left non-functional. Patients are dying without proper treatment as maximum cases are recommended to go to private hospitals due to unavailable facilities in the Govt hospitals. At the same time, pathetic condition of the hospital added by carelessness have erupted massive resentment. On Saturday, an advocate died allegedly without treatment, which has rocked the Agartala city with protests of Advocates, although police remained unready to lodge FIR.

Middle class families are the highest victims of the scrapping of free medical services. Almost all critical patients are suggested to go to ILS or outside private hospitals by Govt doctors which is however not possible for 95% people.

At the same time, ruff behavior of the staffs continue, fueled by massive Doctors’ crisis situations in Govt hospitals.

From bed crisis to medicine crisis have hit the patients parties, many are bound to take back patients as they are unable to bear the medical expenses. Many patients who suffer from multiple diseases are not even seen by doctors properly, neither suggested tests whereas the same patient when shifted in a private hospital, many diseases are discovered. Thus, for poor people, quality health service has become impossible.

Recently, news reports have shown how critical patients are left without dialysis whereas one part which was functional are recommended for hospital staffs known people or politically recommended people.
