Political Parties in Tripura geared up for ADC Election

AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): Keeping the ADC Election ahead, political parties have geared up with meetings and decision making.

Regional Party INPT which held an executive meeting on yesterday in Agartala, addressing media, INPT President Bijoy Hrangkhawal, Secretary Jagadish Debbrama said that along with meeting, how to proceed the anti-CAA protest it will also be discussed and poll agendas, issues to be decided.

IPFT (Tipraha), TSP have shaken hands and also called other regional parties to join them, if they believe in Democracy and if they trust In unity in the true sense.

On the other side, IPFT’s big brother BJP has kept doors open for alliance in the ADC Poll. The ruling BJP has called for alliance with IPFT in the upcoming ADC poll.However, previously, when IPFT demanded, BJP rejected to share seats at by-polls, local body elections. The IPFT demanded a free run for forthcoming Tripura whereas BJP said, it has kept doors open for discussion but will not give up all seats. BJP said, it is ready to fight 28 seats alone.

BJP also held meeting for upcoming ADC Election in Tripura on February 29.A meeting in Agartala led by Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarma, MP Rebati Tripura, BJP President Dr Manik Saha was held.

ADC right now is ruled by CPI-M and the CME is Radha Charan Debbarma. CPI-M’s indigenous wing Gana Mukti Parishad also organized a massive rally in January month, flooding Agartala city, displayed strength and deep root of its party yet in ADC.

ADC Election reportedly will be held in appropriate time without delay in Tripura. Also, seat numbers which were increased at 50 can’t be implemented by this time, state media reported.

Thus, in total 28 seats, the ADC Election will be held.ADC’s present council’s tenure will be completed on 17th May and thus the Election also will not be delayed.
