AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): Only 26 days remained that the Supreme Court led terminated 10323 teachers will end their tenure as ad-hoc teachers which was considered by the Court keeping the teachers crisis problem in front. The tensed 10323 teachers have many times requested the Govt to announce about their livelihood management at the earliest, but so far no solution has come out. Tripura BJP Govt is bound for 10323 teachers issue as the Party is committed in Vision Document promise for solving the teachers' problems permanently. Ratanlal Nath said that Govt will announce an alternative job for the 10323 teachers by February-March and said Govt is very positive to save them, announcing further that 13000 posts which were created by previous Left Govt was nothing but "Contempt of Court". On the other side, reacting over Education Minister Ratanlal Nath’s statement who called 13000 posts created by the previous Left Govt contempt of court, Tripura CPI-M convener Bijan Dhar said, there is no more objection from Supreme Courts on those posts and thus recruitment can be continued.

“When Ratanlal Nath is saying, the jobs are lapsed, a single cabinet meeting can change the fate of the teachers and Govt can restore those posts”, said Bijan Dhar.

10323 teachers are now eyeing for the ultimate decision which will shortly to be announced by Education Minister Ratanlal Nath. Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “Govt is making a plan to appoint the 10323 teachers but it can not violate the rules and regulations and can not overrule the High Court, Supreme Court”.Nath however mentioned, whether same salary will be given or not, it is not sure but Govt will try to keep the payments nearby.Ratanlal Nath said that Govt will announce an alternative job for the 10323 teachers by February-March and said Govt is very positive to save them, announcing further that 13000 posts which were created by previous Left Govt was nothing but "Contempt of Court".The 10323 teachers had lost their jobs in High Court and later in Supreme Court after spotting irregularities in the recruitment process. After the court verdict, the erstwhile Left Front government had started an initiative to recruit 13,000 persons in non-teaching positions, such as Students Counselors, Academic Counselors, Hostel Wardens etc, in the education department, and on 1,000 posts in social education and social welfare department. A section of the ‘terminated’ teachers rejected these positions as insulting, and supported the BJP, then in opposition, who promised a “sustainable solution”.
