AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 4 (TIWN): Tripura Congress leader Gopal Roy has taken a jibe at the BJP and Chief Minister Biplab Deb for celebrating 2 years of victory, asked, why is BJP celebrating, whether to mark failure or success ? Lashing out at the BJP for total failure to fillup 299 promises of the Vision Document including 50000 Govt jobs in first one year, Gopal Roy said, “BJP’s main promise was to fillup 50000 Govt jobs in first one year and now after 2 years the vacancy is atleast 65,000. Neither the BJP has done anything for the unemployed youths, nor for the poor. Instead of MGNREGA wage hiking, mandays are downed, said Gopal Roy citing example how people are getting very less mandays in Govt schemes and whatever they are getting, wages are left pending. The senior Congress leader also expressed extreme resentment over the news of a poor parent’s selling of own baby in exchange of Rs. 5000.

“17% DAs are pending ! One the one said, Govt saying no fund crisis and again, Finance Minister accepting fact of fund crisis and the Chief Minister is traveling Delhi. 13 times he visited Delhi ! Where did the funds go ? Only development is seen in CM’s quarter at 9 Star level”, added Gopal Roy.

Gopal Roy was asked by media to react on BJP’s observation of “Mukti Diwas”, when CPI-M is observing “Black Day”.Roy said, when CPI-M took the state into ventilation, the BJP has converted it into coma condition.

“Total 299 promises were given in Vision Document. Totally failure to fulfill Vision Document. So, I want to ask, why did CM visit Udaipur Matabari. What did he tell to Goddess Tripura Sundari ? About his success or his failure ?”, he said.

“BJP’s main promise was 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year but only JUMLA and JUMLA have been performed in last 2 years. Now vacant posts have increased at 65,000”, he said. 

It can be noted here that CMIE monthly data has revealed unemployment rates of all Indian states on Sunday.Following each month, Tripura once again has topped in unemployment rate among all Indian states.In February, 2020, Tripura’s unemployment rate is 28.4%.
