AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Tripura Law cum Education Minister Ratanlal Nath via press conference recently has claimed that MGNREGA mandays have increased 20% at least under the BJP Govt. He claimed, when in 2017-18 FY the mandays were only 33.65% in 18-10 it was 46%. Nath further claimed that from 2019 till now it has increased 53.10%. When Ratanlal Nath is claiming such, Tripura Congress led by former State President Birjit Sinha will go to the High Court as BJP Govt has failed to provide 100 days mandays under MGNREGA. Birjit Sinha on Sunday has said that there are enough legal points where a poor person is bound to get MGNREGA works and if not then compensations to be given.Addressing media, Birjit Sinha said, during the UPA Govt’s time when Manmohon Singh was the Prime Minister a law was passed that Govt has to provide 100 days MGNREGA works to the rural poor people.

MGNREGA mandays scams have hit the real beneficiaries across state. It is alleged that BJP is keeping leaders, activists happy with such neck-deep broad day light theft of mandays, but after so many reports came in media the BJP didn’t give any answer to the querries.

When local people are not getting even 50 days MGNREGA works, the two sons of BJP’s Nalchar MLA allegedly are getting more than 80 days MGNREGA works but fact is that the MLA’s sons were never seen near to the field works. This might be the cause behind the madays distribution doubts.

Although MGNREGA funds data-wise said increased for Tripura and Ministers are claiming ‘massive Central Funds flows’, but mouths to mouths ‘slashed MGNREGA’ are alleged by poor and needy people.

Earlier, it was seen that even Govt employees in BJP’s blessing getting MGNREGA works in Tripura. The MLA whose two sons are getting MGNREGA mandays is Subash Das, MLA of Nalchar constituency.

Two sons of the MLA Subash Das are Debabrata Das and Subrata Das, resident of Chandanmura, Paschim para under Sepahijala District.

Subrata Das’s family card No is 107, whereas Debabrata’s family card number is 108. Subrata got 83 days works and Debabrata got 84 days.

One more fish from the BJP party in the net, exposed sipping poor people’s funds.Mahibhushan Chakraborty, winning candidate of Gomati District’s 13 no ward, resident of Birganj Panchayat has got above 10,000 rupees in his account via his card number TR-02-002-002-004/16.

Several other similar reports have come in the recent times for misappropriation of MGNREGA mandays funds.
